Photography has always been a passion of mine from a young age fascinated by the workings of my grandad’s Olympus OM10 and how the technical differences were more advance from that of a normal camera.
From this it has created a spark developing my interest and skills in this area, studying fine art at collage then diverting into photography as my pathway choice. While studying at the college I also attended an evening course in city and guilds level one in basic photography. This helped me a great deal to develop my technical skills in photography giving me knowledge of not only the camera but also a passion to produce work with integrity.
Acquiring this knowledge from the course I went on to study level one in macro photography while carrying on studies at college.
After completing fine art I went on to learn at Lincoln university where I gained experience in the subject of video and also furthered my awareness of photography techniques. I also developed a deeper understanding of other artists work which I took inspiration from, examples include Gregory Crewdson, Jeff Wall, Boltanski, August Sander and many others.
